Yelp has done it again! On a recent road trip, my family was hungry and looking for a place to have breakfast. I used Yelp to find this place and boy am I glad I did. The three of us all raved about our food. My hubby ordered a breakfast burrito which as big as his head. He said it was one of the best breakfast burritos he has ever had. I took a bite and agreed. My daughter loved her basic breakfast and I LOVED my waffle. It was so delicious and crispy. Service was outstanding, prices were reasonable, the restaurant was clean, and parking was easy. Easy on and off the freeway. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
People are always raving about this place on Facebook, so I had to give them a try. I need to add my voice to those singing the praises of this place. This place is a local landmark. The first giant orange opened in the late 20s. They were juice and snack stands, all along the highways and byways of California. This one is one of only about 10 giant oranges left. I had the Arizona Carnitas enchilada omelette. It was huge! The Carnitas, the sauce, as well as the rice, beans, and tortillas, were all beyond delicious. Some of the Carnitas were soft and tender, some of them had a wonderful crust on them. The tomatillo sauce had a wonderful tang to it, and was not too spicy I left stuffed. The menu is big, offering both American and Mexican items., Plus, unlike most Mexican places, they have Menudo on the menu every day. I paid roughly $24 after tip, and it was worth every penny. I realize that prices are going up, and I don't mind paying a bit more for good food. I will be back. Thank you.
Serving American and Mexican food [Shasta Lake CA] Came in between lunch and dinner at 3:00p so the restaurant was empty with only one other customer. The diner served both American and Mexican food. We were given complimentary chips and salsa. I ordered a Bacon & Cheddar while hubby ordered Sausage (or Bacon) & Eggs. He chose sausage patties for his meal. He was asked if he wanted rice and beans (instead of hashbrowns)... he chose rice and beans so there you go... best of both worlds... an American|Mexican breakfast ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My Bacon & Cheddar came with a 7-oz angus beef patty served on ciabatta buns. It was huge! Lettuce and tomato were served on the side (I didn't care for pickles or onions). The French fries were crispy and delicious. The burger was a little messy to eat but it was very good. The sweet lady that served us was very nice and friendly. She took care of us very well. A Christian station was softy playing in the background. Soothing. Review #3452
Food is always fresh, hot and very good portions. Go here a lot since we live in the neighborhood. Definitely would recommend.
